Ravan was released by Reliance BIG Pictures and Madras Talkies in 2200 screens worldwide making the first Indian movie to release in three versions(Hindi(ravan),Telugu(villan) and Tamil(raavanan)).Rs.20 crores was collected on first day and Rs.53 crores in first week.As the movie was opened negatively,it doesn't seems to have any scope to hit the box office.Infact, Ravan is a flop movie. Mani Ratnam felt very bad as he experienced the similar situation, when he released YUVA in 2004.
